EU GREEN WEEK WORKSHOP/ SUSTAINABLE TOURISM SOLUTIONS TO REDUCE POLLUTION IN THE MEDITERRANEAN AREA

Published on

For the Next EU Green Week, NECSTouR is organizing a webinar along with its partners in the Interreg MED programme. The goal of this webinar is to present solutions from a selected number of projects aiming at reducing pollution with an ethical and sustainable consumption of tourism: Ecotourism (DESTIMED PLUS), Cycle tourism (MEDCYCLETOUR), Waste management (BLUEISLANDS) and Water Management (CASTWATER).

The Mediterranean Sea is the first destination in the world but also the most fragilized ecosystem.

The Sustainable Tourism community has the potential to help the greening of destinations at policy and technical level. Within the Interreg MED programme, the Horizontal Project on Sustainable Tourism supervises 24 different projects funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
