6-9 November 2018, Stand 017- Pavilion D4, Rimini Expo Centre // 6 November, 14:00 - 18:00, Tiglio Room Pavillion A6
(Rome, 24.10.18) The MED Sustainable Tourisms Community will be at “Ecomondo: the green technologies expo” to present its partial achievements and to exchange ideas, good practice and experiences with representatives from public institutions and private sectors working for a sustainable future.
The MED Sustainable Tourisms Community has joined forces with five other Interreg MED communities to share a stand named “Interreg MED Piazza” - stand 017 pavilion D4 - from 6 to 9 November, where visitors of the Ecomondo expo will have the opportunity to meet representatives from some of the organisations involved in the projects.
The MED Sustainable Tourisms Community, represented by some of its modular projects, will be at the expo during the entire week, not only at the stand but also taking part in two very concrete events. On the afternoon of the 6th November, the opening day of the Expo, one of the main events happening in the Tiglio Room - Pavilion A6, 14:00-18:00, will be the conference “Empowering territories for a Sustainable Mediterranean. #innovation #competitiveness #circulareconomy #sustainablelifestyle”, co-organized by all the six participating communities. The three panel debates will host representatives from BlueIslands, Co-Evolve and ShapeTourism projects of the STC (here you can check the complete agenda of the conference and the topics of the panels).
Meanwhile, some side events will happen at the stand giving the possibility to the various projects to present themselves and even receive possible guests to this communities space. On 7th November from 16:00 to 18:00, one of this on the spot open sessions, named “Interreg MED Terrace”, will be exclusively dedicated to projects of the Sustainable Tourism Community that wish to benefit it. It will be possible to make presentations, raise questions, look for possible collaboration opportunities, observe ideas, share thoughts, challenges and needs.
Created in November 2016 in the framework of the Interreg MED Programme and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the MED Sustainable Tourisms Community gathers about 200 private and public organisations from 13 Euro-mediterranean countries, which have joined forces in 18 modular projects designing, testing and implementing strategies and tools to make tourism more sustainable in the Mediterranean coastal area. With the occasion of coming to know our community and the other Interreg MED communities, it will be possible for the visitors, to have a wider walk around the Ecomondo Expo and get inspiration by the last updates from the green technology world.
